The Compose Your Own Music class will be led by Burroughs Instrumental Music Teacher Kyle Boeser. In this course, students will create their own song using music notation software. Your child will learn the basics of song form, melody, harmonies/chord progressions, rhythms, and how they all combine to make a piece of music. They will also have to opportunity to record the melody of their song by either playing it on an instrument or singing and combine it with the rest of their composition. By the end of this course, your child will have created and recorded their own structured and harmonized composition! Please bring: Note for classroom teacher is required - stating your child is to go directly to the gym after school, snack to eat before each session and a water bottle.
